School Mission and Philosophy
The mission of Alternative Therapy is to provide the highest quality of education to ensure our students attain their fullest potential in the massage and bodywork profession. We will maintain a professional, safe, and relaxed atmosphere so our students and staff can enjoy and benefit from a positive work and learning environment.
Program Description
We offer a 600-hour massage therapy program, fulfilling all Delaware State and National Certification Board requirements.
- 350 hours: Technique, Theory and Application of Massage & Bodywork Therapy
- 125 hours: Anatomy, Physiology & Kinesiology
- 125 hours: Electives
Day and evening classes are available. Class size is limited in order to maximize the quality of training and personal interaction.
Description of our Facility
Alternative Therapy is located at 4631 Ogletown Stanton Road Newark, DE. The large parking area is well lit with handicap accessibility. The school shares space with the professional massage therapy center. A large reception area hosts clients and students as they enter from the front entrance. Four private treatment rooms, one bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen are all available to the students. Adjustable massage tables and chairs, hands on and visual learning aids and the lending library are all located in our classroom.
Tuition Fees
Tuition is $8,995.00, which includes text books, adjustable massage table, 2-year CPR certificate, national certification exam fee, and 1-year professional liability insurance. There is a $500.00 deposit required to reserve your seat.
We offer placement assistance by making every effort to help graduates find suitable employment.
Tuition financing is available.
